Nashville's rental market moves quickly, and most leases require the home to be returned clean. A quick sweep and wipe-down usually isn't enough to pass a landlord's inspection.
Start with the kitchen. Clean inside and outside every cabinet and drawer, empty and clean the refrigerator and freezer, and degrease the oven, stovetop, and microwave. These are the first places property managers look.
In the bathrooms, disinfect the toilet, sink, tub, and shower, and remove any mold or buildup from the tile and grout. Clean the inside of the vanity cabinets too.
In every room, wipe down baseboards, door frames, light switches, and door handles. Clean the inside of closets and shelves, window interiors, blinds and tracks, light fixtures, ceiling fans, and air vents.
Finish with the floors, vacuuming and mopping last so you aren't walking dirt back across a clean surface.
